Wet, but no Tears

We tried swimming again and it went over much better this time.  We didn't get huge smiles, but we didn't have any crying:

Beach Bum

Caroline lasted about an hour at the beach - absolutely did not like the water, but enjoyed a nice snooze on the sand:

5 Years and 5 Months

On Sunday, Waylon turned 5 and today, Caroline is 5 months old.  Waylon celebrated with a few trips to Trusty's, multiple walks, egg sandwich breakfast and a trip with us to Yards Park.  Caroline has really started to notice Waylon and likes to watch him (and has started reaching for him).  Waylon gives the ocassional lick on the hand or face, but otherwise, ignores her.  Here's a few of the dynamic duo:

And here are a few of Caroline from today along with a few notables from the last month:

- Second plane trip (went to Florida to meet her Great Grandma, aunts and cousins)
- First trip to the beach
- First dip in a pool and the ocean (not a fan of the water)
- First tooth (lower left one)
- First birthday party
- Wearing some 3-6 months, but still mostly 0-3 months

Party Girl

Caroline attended her first birthday party to celebrate her friend, Emmy's, first birthday.

She got all dressed up with her party shoes:

Chillin in the Bumbo while she watched the older kids play.  There were four other babies in attendance (all under one) and she was the youngest:

Yes, this was the best shot of five - in one, the kids in plaid is eating the shoulder of the kid in white - Caroline did not cooperate for any of them:

Buck partying hard:

There was a small baby pool so we tried it out.  As you'll see, she's not a fan of the water yet.  To be fair, it was a little cold and she was hungry.  The older two babies played in the water, but the younger two really weren't fans.  Hopefully, with time, she'll come to love the water:
